Cosmetic Doctor Brisbane is led by Dr Tarek Shalabi, a meticulous, experienced, qualified GP specialising in injectables.
Dr Tarek was born and raised in Nottingham, England, the land of Robin Hood, Nottingham Forest, Wayne Manor and Stilton cheese!! He completed his medical school training at the prestigious University of Nottingham in 2012. He then trained in trauma and orthopaedic surgery at Queens Medical Centre, centre of excellence of trauma.
In 2016, Dr Tarek was invited to work at Gold Coast University Hospital emergency department. He worked there for two intense years as an emergency registrar which included looking after the busy department at night. He then completed his general practice training in the South Brisbane region and was awarded Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of General Practitioners in 2021. He has completed a certificate in skin cancer dermoscopy with the Australasian College of Dermatologists. He has also completed an advanced course in cosmetic anti wrinkle injections and dermal fillers with Dermamedical Australia. He has also completed his training to perform Sillhoute Soft Threads.
Dr Tarek uses a no pressure approach with his patients. He is friendly, meticulous and hard working doctor. His biggest reward is seeing his patients become more confident in themselves and enjoying their enhancements. The focus is on a good patient experience, relaxed, informed, and fun!
